Project that reflects on the Spanish penal system, victims of Francoism and shit [pigeon]. The begining is a photographic diptych [300x150cm]. One photo shows the state of the kitchen of the old prison of Zamora in 2009, where you can see the large fume hood and hob, two objects partially covered with pigeon droppings. The second picture shows the state in 2009 of the mass grave in the cemetery of Toro, Zamora, where lie open pit and eye , the remains of about 290 people put to death by the dictatorship between 1936 and 1938. The diptych is completed with a series of drawings and models of possible future interventions to be performed on the photographs . They all revolve around a common element: the fume hood kitchen Zamora prison and shit covering it. From playing this element in three dimensions and final material [ aluminum ] in small models [ 20x20x10cm.c / u], several courses of action are developed , suggesting different relationships [ aesthetic and conceptual ] between the real item and records photo. In one of these possibilities playback fume hood is inverted relative to its photographic image , thus preventing its real function is carried out , resulting in a «closed loop » from » bad smoke » a whole nightmare prison. At the same time , to invest this large a container element that formally resembles the mass graves , and / or eg funnels used to force the ingestion of castor oil as a method of torture, where » bad smoke » is generated they are » released «. It should be noted the close relationship entity jails and cemeteries at the time in question; the arrested people by the fascist were first taken to the jail and turn from there eventually «stroll» to the Toro cementery, among other places.
